Iceland Blue Lagoon Tickets Guide (Updated 2025)

What is the Blue Lagoon?
The Blue Lagoon—one of Iceland’s most famous geothermal spas—sits on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Grindavík, about 39 km from Reykjavík. Because it’s roughly between the city and the airport, many travelers stop in for a soak before or after their flight. The milky-blue water stays a blissful 37–39 °C and is rich in silica and sulfur—great for skin—and the setting is pure dreamscape. Picture this: floating in warm, mineral-rich water, drink in hand, with a signature silica mud mask for that “natural spa” glow. Ready to go? Here’s how to secure your Blue Lagoon tickets with the best value.

Blue Lagoon Tickets | 2025 Update
You can buy tickets on the official site or at the door. However, this is a wildly popular attraction and walk-ins are often restricted once capacity is reached. Booking online in advance is strongly recommended.
Ticket prices fall into four categories, typically ranging from USD 97 to USD 764 per person. Prices vary by package, season, and entry time. As a rule of thumb, summer dates run about USD 10–20 higher than winter (think USD 111–150 in summer vs. from USD 97 in winter). Midday and sunset entries tend to be priciest, while late-evening slots are usually cheaper.
What each ticket includes
Ticket type | Price | What’s included |
Comfort | USD 99–150 | • Silica mud mask • Towel • 1 complimentary drink |
Premium | USD 124–176 | • Silica mud mask + two additional masks of your choice • Towel + bathrobe • 2 complimentary drinks |
Signature | USD 154–206 | • Silica mud mask + two additional masks • Towel + bathrobe • 2 complimentary drinks • Blue Lagoon skincare set (30 ml Silica Mask + 30 ml Mineral Mask; value USD 101) |
The Retreat Spa | From USD 764 | • Private changing room (for up to 2 guests) • Access to a private Blue Lagoon area (5 hours) • Skincare amenities + ritual experience • Access to the spa restaurant |
There’s no fixed time limit once you’re inside, but re-entry isn’t allowed—leaving the lagoon means buying a new ticket to come back. For most travelers, the Comfort ticket delivers everything you need unless you’re planning a long stay or want the skincare set.

You can book directly on the official website, or via major OTAs. If you prefer a ticket bundled with transfers, OTAs often price slightly lower than booking the official ticket + separate transfer.
Example: On the official site, a 12:00 (noon) entry on 4 Oct 2025 costs USD 150, plus airport/city transfer at USD 75—USD 225 total (~HKD 1,755). On Klook, the same date with transfer was ~HKD 1,374—around HKD 400 less.

How long should you stay?
There’s no official time limit, but re-entry requires a new ticket. We suggest budgeting 2–3 hours to unwind, enjoy your complimentary drink and mask, take photos, and simply slow down—rushing a Blue Lagoon visit defeats the purpose.
