One Day Tour
Cappadocia is not only a unique terrain, but also a city full of history, so it’s worth taking your time to get to know and explore it. The easiest way to get to know the city is to join one of the local day tours. There are four different routes: red, green, yellow and blue. The most classic ones are the red and green tours, which cover all the important sights in Cappadocia, while the yellow and blue tours are in-depth hiking tours suitable for those who like to go outdoors and have a certain level of knowledge about the area. Red Line tours are priced around HK$500, and the price usually includes fare, guide fee, lunch and entrance ticket.
Red Line Tours include
- Love Valley Observation Deck
Famous for its unique geological structure, known as the “Fairy Chimney”, it offers a panoramic view of Cappadocia. - Göreme Open Air Museum

Tips from the Red and Green Tours
- The main difference between the two tours is that the Green Line tour has a little hiking part, so if you don’t want to hike at all, I suggest you join the Red Line tour.
- Each travel agency/hotel may offer a different tour, so be sure to understand the itinerary in detail before signing up.
- If you want to go to both tours, I suggest that you just choose one of the tours, and you can go to the other one on your own. (Cappadocia is very convenient for transportation!) Or you can choose some mixed line matching tours, but personally I think there are much less places to see!
Sunrise in a hot air balloon
A must-do activity in Cappadocia is to watch the sunrise from a hot air balloon! There are more than 200 days a year for hot air balloon flights, and at the same time there can be more than 150 hot air balloons in mid-air, which makes for a stunning image, and you can watch the sunrise from the balloon, which is romantic to the extreme. The balloon ride starts at 4:30 in the morning and stays in mid-air for about one and a half hours, during which time pilots will fly the balloons to different locations in Cappadocia, allowing you to enjoy the city from different angles.
